What's the origin of the purple exclamation mark (!) for YAML files?

It seems to be unique to this theme, but I could be misremembering. Thanks in advance.

The icon should probably be updated to match the current YAML "official" logo: https://github.com/yaml/yaml-common/blob/e74e0768ec2739d876f58e7b426e0274414a2352/image/yaml-logo.svg

I don't know the origin of the exclamation mark. It predates the existence of the above logo.
