“Stage all” doesn’t respect `status.showUntrackedFiles no`

Describe the bug I’m using a bare repo to manage my dotfiles. I use config status.showUntrackedFiles no to keep git status usable. LazyGit respects that much, and doesn’t show untracked files in the Files pane. However, when I pressed a to stage my changes, LazyGit staged every single file under my home directory. This made it hang repeatedly, and was quite a headache to fix ^^.

I’m using FreeBSD 12.

Currently lazygit ignores all .gitconfig, there's an issue discussing that: #1151

I am using the same method to manage my dotfiles, and I can confirm that lazygit still exhibits this behavior. It was a nasty surprise, and was a bit of a pain to untangle. Would certainly like to see this fixed at some point.
