Image Attachment for User Profile

I wonder if it is possible to use Attachments plugins for User Profile (users) as one of the type? Our project need exactly the function for user profile to upload image, so that user can upload/modify/remove

If the current version cannot do it, what tweak or modification is needed so that we could try first or help in updating.
