@aclark4life since you created the django-5 branch here I assume you are a maintainer for the project. What do you thing about dropping support for EOL python versions (3.7 & 3.8) to unblock this PR without any modifications to support deprecated versions of packages?

Just wanted to have another opinion on dropping the support for EOL versions of Python and Django. I prepared a branch django-5x based on your branch. Maybe you could kindly have a look on the PR #394 and the issue #392
