Navigation within the site

I wanted to add navigation to be able to browse the histories more easily but wanted to check in to see what approach would be best, since it has already been considered.

Are breadcrumbs sufficient?

Breadcrumbs would definitely help for navigation. Anything more complicated than that and I fear it will become pretty tedious to maintain by hand.

It would probably make sense to convert the whole thing to Jekyll at some point soon. So far I've been mostly concerned with just getting the data out.
