I just wanted to make you aware of this project which is attempting to capture missing license information from projects.

It may be useful to add something that can pull license information from it's API to fill in gaps.

Thanks for posting this. Are you suggesting use APIs from clearlydefined as a fail safe instead of pulling them from the artifacts?
