Getting the same here. Thought by turning off the catch-all setting (to allow the sitemap.xml file to be created) then turning back on would fix the issue, but it doesn't

Also discovered this just now. I would have thought the process would just take from settings e.g. if you chose to delete missing entries, then an empty feed will delete...

Chiming in having the same issue with Craft 4. If it's not going to be fixed we'll have to look at other solutions.

Not sure if it's related but your closing `` is outside of the `{% endif %}` but the opening `` is inside the `{% if %}`

If OK, I may start documenting it myself then will do a pull request when ready?

There must be something else at play for me then. The site I'm using win-acme on isn't serving on HTTPS, even with the bindings in place.
