brew is the command-line invocation of the popular Mac OS X package manager Homebrew. I made the mix-up immediately.
Sorry about this. Perhaps "brew-the-Maven-infrastructure-thing" can use another coffee-oriented metaphor?
Being a linux geek, I was of course completely unaware of brew at the time I chose the name - but yeah, it is an unfortunate name :/
Perhaps the 3.0 release can introduce a name change.. :) I think coffeebrewer already exists, so it would need to be something else.. Presso perhaps (brews and compresses coffeescript), or percolator, or something..
The only problem is that users of the plugin may get confused, so the name change, to be worthwile, would need to get rid of a greater amount of confusion (from mixing it up with mac brew) than it introduces.
