2-finger swipe navigation is enabled by atom/electron#4181 but will need some involved capturing of onwheel events.

3-finger swipe navigation is blocked on atom/electron#4843

I think 2-finger is now unblocked in 0.37, updated by dfb0b71

That update is in our release 0.16, although it doesn't seem to work.
