I'm experiencing the same issue. Exactly the same. Using Light Wallet on Windows 10.

Have you tried changing the node?

If you’re at work, sometimes your work will block certain ports. You can try nodes that end in 443 or 80. Check http://iota.dance/nodes

Hi Wonkytonky Any difference as I am on android wallet. Are you using the Desktop version? You tried every single node on the potato.iotasalad.org? These were my wallet settings Node protocol https Node ip potato.iotasalad.org Node port 14265

Hi wonkytonky, can you point me to a good place to install from github? I find github a bit intimidating, I use the xx.exe file? It works on Win 7?

sipetpet avatar Jan 09 '18 09:01 sipetpet

Please do bear with me, is there anywhere that shows how to install from github. I am not that tech savvy so sorry

Try searching for a video on YouTube. Lots of crypto vloggers out there now, making videos that walk you through different wallet set ups.

Hi everyone Can advise me on the pc/laptop specs required to properly support the iota desktop wallet? Does windows 10 home edition work or I need Windows 10 Professional? Any other requirements? What are you all using?

sipetpet avatar Jan 12 '18 06:01 sipetpet

I am having this same issue. Connection Refused, using Light Wallet 2.5.6
