Design a Librefox logo to replace the temporary one on this page

I think ideally the logo would be something that resembles firefox, with a different color scheme. Similar to waterfox.

with how trademarks work this could be problematic. btw where is the current logo on the readme.md page from?

The current one is from Appveyor provided by https://img.shields.io/

For the logo here is what i am thinking of, indeed similar to Firefox...

  • It would have a dark/gray color scheme with a little wave of orange
  • The logo would be a round earth like Firefox with only the tail of the fox (because he was liberated hahahaha) very similar to Firefox without the head of the fox

What do you think ?

I will post here the continuous work before deciding for the final one, to get your advice/opinion

Also feel free to post base image here (image that would be a base to design the icon)

i imagine a fox with wings and blue feathers would look cool. instead of looking away he looks towards the user and in the curl of his tail there is the globe. the logo could contain the face at the bottom. at the height of the ears you would see the wings and above that is the curled tail with the globe.

@elypter hahahahahha

intika avatar Dec 31 '18 06:12 intika

@elypter i like the idea of the wings

Following some communication with Mozilla, and to respect their work, the logo won’t use a fox or something wrapped around a globe, or anything that is closely associated with Mozilla’s logos.

I will discuss that with @AnXh3L0 this weekend

Feel free to post something if you have an idea about the logo

did mozilla trademark foxes?

elypter avatar Jan 30 '19 04:01 elypter

Lol, probably If I may suggest, I would do something along the lines of an escaped/free fox, a dark theme version.
