How do I use spd_write.exe to overwrite the SPD in RAM after editing ddr4XMP editor?

Open a command prompt/terminal in the folder that spd_write.exe is in

Type spd_write.exe and press tab then space

Drag and drop your SPD into the command prompt/terminal

Press enter

Hi, thanks for the instructions. The following message appears in CMD: "Write SPD to device:" I need to type something here, indicate the ram slot or something serial code of the ram module?

CAPS

You need to type in the address/ID of the SPD chip

In your case, it's 50

Is there an error code, probably write protection on the module?

I'm not sure what that error code is but your SPD chip might be write protected

If so, the only way to write to the SPD is to use a hardware programmer
