Support for HTML pages

It would be cool if it supported HTML pages, and not just MD!

Yes same here, installed the plugin but not working for html files. Maybe at least mention in README that html not supported?

Happy to support a PR to add this behavior, especially if it is opt-in via the site's config to avoid surprises / breaking changes in functionality.
