[BUG] Some file thumbnails are missing after syncing from mobile

Open good4noob opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

The bug

Some of image and video files don't have thumbnails after syncing from mobile app (ios). Also a lot of files stayed in upload folder and running of storage template migration job doesn't clear it (see logs attached) immich_template_logs.txt Apparently the issue is connected with duplicate files named FullSizeRender in library folder.

The OS that Immich Server is running on

Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS

Version of Immich Server

I think I might have the same issue. I've been trying to troubleshoot some of the images from the Android app failing to upload and have seen similar errors. On running the storage migration, I get this:

2023-07-13T05:39:52.373303706+08:00 [Nest] 7 - 07/13/2023, 5:39:52 AM LOG [StorageTemplateService] Starting storage template migration 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783205801+08:00 [Nest] 7 - 07/13/2023, 5:40:02 AM WARN [StorageTemplateService] Unable to save new originalPath to database, undoing move for path upload/upload/d3f3e063-abc8-40e9-88ac-b693379adf3c/15629f33-8696-4ded-aee3-708d7b4286bd.jpg - filename 001 - id 6a0b6d39-3a44-4ff8-b0cf-aea6f5c0948f 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783255194+08:00 [Nest] 7 - 07/13/2023, 5:40:02 AM WARN [StorageTemplateService] QueryFailedError: duplicate key value violates unique constraint "UQ_4ed4f8052685ff5b1e7ca1058ba" 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783264270+08:00 at PostgresQueryRunner.query (/usr/src/app/node_modules/typeorm/driver/postgres/PostgresQueryRunner.js:211:19) 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783282789+08:00 at process.processTicksAndRejections (node:internal/process/task_queues:95:5) 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783287960+08:00 at async UpdateQueryBuilder.execute (/usr/src/app/node_modules/typeorm/query-builder/UpdateQueryBuilder.js:83:33) 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783293462+08:00 at async updateSubject (/usr/src/app/node_modules/typeorm/persistence/SubjectExecutor.js:380:38) 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783298792+08:00 at async Promise.all (index 0) 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783303895+08:00 at async SubjectExecutor.executeUpdateOperations (/usr/src/app/node_modules/typeorm/persistence/SubjectExecutor.js:422:9) 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783308731+08:00 at async SubjectExecutor.execute (/usr/src/app/node_modules/typeorm/persistence/SubjectExecutor.js:99:9) 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783313569+08:00 at async EntityPersistExecutor.execute (/usr/src/app/node_modules/typeorm/persistence/EntityPersistExecutor.js:140:21) 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783318379+08:00 at async AssetRepository.save (/usr/ src/app/dist/infra/repositories/asset.repository.js:108:24) 2023-07-13T05:40:02.783323858+08:00 at async StorageTemplateService.moveAsset (/usr/src/app/dist/domain/storage-template/storage-template.service.js:142:21)

And so on for many other images. I wonder if this is because of the number of images named "001.jpg" I have under that date. There is already 10 images under that date named "001.jpg" through to "001+9.jpg". There was a "001+10.jpg" in the database, but not in the folder.

I'm also on Ubuntu 22.04 and am running this in RKE2.

I have the same issue. I wonder if it is an issue with parallel jobs. I tried to redeploy the immich-app docker, set Storage Template Migration Concurrency to 1, and re-upload all photos from my iPhone. All photos were processed correctly.

Unfortunately it doesn't work for me. The bug is still reproducing on latest server 1.75.0. Logs are attached. logs.txt
