Open x-dean opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

I can confirm that only pictures taken using Iphone with live pictures have the issue. Screenshots or other downloaded media do not show this lines.

To add to this.

I have the same problem with pictures taken from a Pixel 8. Without live photo

Using web UI:

Testing with the sample image, I don't see the issue on Firefox, and if I disable HWA in Chrome, I stop seeing the black lines there too. The black lines only show up at certain zoom levels and the thickness varies. I think this is a Chrome rasterization issue.

Closing as it looks to be a Chromium issue.

Can this please be re-opened? This is clearly a bug that can be fixed by immich and it's very annoying!

I didn't get that impression, but if you have ideas on how we could fix this then please share them.

Could you point me to the code that is responsible for this? Maybe I can try!

I have the same problem with version 1.127.0 (2025-02-27). In Chrome and Edge on Windows 11. Both on a Dell Laptop with Intel graphics video card. FireFox is fine. I don't have it on a desktop with a nvidia graphics card, also Windows 11 system. I hope you can check again and open the case again.

This happens on photos from Pixel 6 as well. It seems to happen only with HDR photos. Will investigate this soon.

I can reproduce this with the Zoom-Image package. This issue is not with Immich, rather with the package or chromium engine. Raised an issue here: https://github.com/willnguyen1312/zoom-image/issues/338
