esp-idf version and build steps in linux

I am trying to build firmware/dfu.bin, I am getting different errors in extra components included. I doubt those errors are due to version mismatch since this repo is dated three years ago. Can you provide the build steps and correct versions for esp-idf and extra components used. Also, I don't see any pre-built binaries shared here.
