Can't seem to edit dlls

I used dnspy on windows before to edit dll files. I couldnt get that to run on linux under wine. I saw in an ippsec video that avaloniaILSpy is like the linux port for dnspy. thus i thought it would work the same way allowing me to modify my c# dlls. maybe I am just missing something.
