Summary of issues with validation of time entries

Bug Report

  • I see only the total of the day and need to decide to validate it or not, but there is no detailed view, where I can double check the single entries (eg. for breakfast, lunch breaks, or similar). Therefore I can't decide if the time entry is valid or not. In best case the modal with the detail view would show the different entries in a table with START | END | Hours.
  • I don't have the chance to request a double-check from the employee. Use case: Employees tend to forget to punch-out, then then they notice the next morning and have 24h+ on the clock. I would like to "ping" the employee for a correction request.
  • If I edit the entry (because I think it's wrong), I need to manually calculate the total worked hours. IMO it would make sense to calculate the amount automatically (disable input field) based on the single entries. Referring to 1) it would make sense to enable that in the details modal as well, in case somebody has more than 1 entry per day.

Hi @borishinzer,

We’re happy to share that the features you mentioned — including the detailed view of time entries (showing START | END | Hours in a table), pinging employees for corrections, and automatic calculation of total worked hours based on entries — are already available in the latest version of Horilla.

Please make sure you are using the latest codebase. If you need any help with updating or have further suggestions, feel free to reach out!

Best Regards, Team Horilla
