RPI4: System can't boot from USB 3..0 external HDD

Describe the issue you are experiencing

HAOS 15.1 (u-boot) can't boot from external USB 3 Toshiba HDD. Boot process stops just after information, that USB XHCI scanning bus and cannot reset port 3 (where HDD is connected). After about third USB reset from HAOS cli, HDD is detected properly and system boots normally. Is there any chance to hardcode several USB controller reset to mitigate problem?

What operating system image do you use?

rpi4-64 (Raspberry Pi 4/400 64-bit OS)

What version of Home Assistant Operating System is installed?

15.1

Did the problem occur after upgrading the Operating System?

Yes

Hardware details

Raspberry PI 4 with 4GB RAM, Toshiba USB3 1TB HDD external drive.

  1. Power on RPI.

Cannot reset port 3 (with HDD connected to that USB port)..

Anything in the Host logs that might be useful for us?

Resetting USB controller several times causes proper HDD detection and normal boot.
