Regarding Nemo: This application does not seem to export Global Menus. Hence we are showing a minmal "fallback" menu with Copy, Paste,... just emulating a Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V keypress. Can you verify that Nemo shows proper menus on other systems?

What happens if you press Command-C, Command-V on the keyboard?

Regarding Xournal: Apparently the application is greying out the commands in the Global Menu, I don't know why the application is doing that. Bug in Xournal?

So, pressing Command-C、Command-V works but selecting the corresponding items from the "fake menu" doesn't?

Need to reproduce this.
