The byte sizes get very long for large files, ditto the title and the pr.

I feel like KB, MB, GB, TB is understood by more people

They're not quite the same thing and I'd prefer we be exact about it. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orders_of_magnitude_(data) and kibibyte vs kilobyte and similar.

Wow! Sorry, I'm just seeing this.

I know KB is per 1000 and KiB is per 1024, and yeah KiB is more precise. To be clear, you want me to revert to powers of 2, right?

KB can be ambiguous/confusing between 1000 and 1024. I personally also would prefer KiB etc
