If an event is full, then it would be nice to put my name on a wait list to take any vacancies if someone else has to cancel.

I think I'd prefer seeing an event subscriber and injecting the services needed, but this is a good pointer on what services are needed. Thxs for your work @andreasradloff

I've updated https://codepen.io/heddn/pen/mybGwzN and there are no longer any issues. Can you provide a full release so I can test it w/ my actual site too?
