Overview

The CTJ landing page (https://civictechjobs.org/) is currently down and displaying a "This site can’t be reached" error. This issue is being created to initiate an audit of potential causes and begin resolution.

Action Items

• Investigate the current hosting setup and domain configuration (DNS, hosting provider, SSL certs, etc.).
• Check if there have been any recent changes to deployment, infrastructure, or permissions.
• Document findings in this issue or a linked doc.

@brandonhu8 the URL to the landing page is: (https://stage.civictechjobs.org)

While we are developing the application we will use a "staging" site to indicate that the website is not meant to be used by the public.

In the future, when CTJ is operational, this staging site will remain but have a different purpose. Staging will be updated with any new features and code changes before the update is pushed to the main site(civictechjobs.org).

This way if there is any website crashing bugs or issues it will crash the staging environment and not affect the main site since the update will be paused.

@RSkuma actually this is more so related to the MailChimp landing page that we have, not the staging site. But thank you for this breakdown, it is helpful for myself, @brandonhu8 and @jaason-shi

@brandonhu8 a few edits for you:

• Under 'Action Items' please turn these into check-bullets
• Please add a Resources section (this should be formatted the way Action Items is) and add the link to 1Password (just the url to the site is okay)
• I think the first step is okay, but it isn't about the actual URL but instead this is a landing page created from MailChimp
