Overview

We need to define clear, actionable Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the Civic Tech Jobs (civictechjobs.org) project to guide the team over the next 3–6 months. These OKRs should align with Hack for LA’s mission to support civic impact and career development through meaningful volunteer contributions.

CTJ aims to help prospective volunteers find interdisciplinary projects that enhance their skills while contributing to the community. It will also support internal program needs, particularly Product Management and volunteer onboarding.

Why This Matters:

Well-defined OKRs will help:

• Prioritize features for the MVP launch
• Align the team across disciplines (design, engineering, product, content)
• Track progress toward broader organizational goals (e.g. inclusivity, sustainability, and supporting volunteer career growth)

Action Items

• [ ] Review CTJ roadmap and identify priority goals
• [ ] Draft 2–3 high-level Objectives
• [ ] For each Objective, define 3–5 measurable Key Results
• [ ] Review with project leads (Engineering, Design, UXR)
• [ ] Finalize and post OKRs in GitHub README or relevant documentation folder
