⚠ Note ⚠ We will be considering volunteers who are familiar with ResearchOps. Please read and be prepare to discuss topics present in this article:
Volunteer Opportunity: We are looking for committed UX Research Co-Leads to help spearhead our Research Ops initiative. UXR Co-Leads will work together to:
- learn and adopt HfLA standards for ResearchOps
- create Google Doc templates for Research Roadmaps and Research Plans for researchers to utilize in future research
- conform current research documents and reports to match guidelines
- publish our existing Research Plans and Roadmaps into our team's Wiki
- work with the Product Management team to meet launch goals
- Co-Leads are responsible for planning and tracking their work on the Project Board and providing updates for the larger team as necessary.
Duration: 2 - 3 Months (until 311 Research Ops is implemented). An on-going role will be considered to lead all future research for the project.
Meeting Times: Please be available for the following meetings:

Volunteer Opportunity: We are looking for a UX Content Writer to help us complete the "Story of 311", a brief history of the project's milestones, challenges, and achievements. We will use "Story of 311" as part of our outreach efforts to collaborate with other data-savvy organizations in Los Angeles. In this role, you will:
- review the history of the project, as organized by Bonnie and the product team
- draft and publish "Story of 311", to be distributed to key stakeholders and potential partners
- work with our UXUI team to build our About Page, which will contain excerpts from "Story of 311"
Duration: 2 - 3 months to help us complete materials outlined above. An on-going role will be considered depending on our product roadmap post-launch.

TPM Responsibilities...
TPMs are responsible for understanding technical requirements required to achieve the project's milestones. While they won't contribute code, they will focus on creating tickets, maintaining the project board, and supporting volunteers on the engineering team. TPMs on the 311 Data team should be comfortable writing frontend code (e.g. Javascript, HTML, CSS) and have familiarity with frontend frameworks (e.g. React).
In order to streamline direction and feedback from the org rep, TPMs will report directly to the Lead Product Manager.
