Which version (`wavemon -v`) are you using? If it is before `0.9.6`, does and upgrade or build from `master` help?

Can you try compiling from `master`? The error message is from 2a22c3dac0675c1d8985263c1a5b62d0a0f9a5e6 (2021). I don't have a ubuntu 24.04 system to test. Patches are welcome.

@jmklix - how would that look like in the bigger picture of the remaining configuration? For instance, setting `exponentialBackoffTotalRetries` to 0 disables retries.
