Feedback: I don't like format removing icons

When I use a custom format string, it used to still put the default icon for that block before it. This seems to have changed in the 0.30 release. Now, I am forced to include the default icon, which I want to keep, in my custom format string, which is really annoying.

Please bring back an option to keep the default icon but change the format string. Thanks.
