A check mark or a save button for editing

Good day, friends of the sun. I think Gramps is very good. And it's just a small thing here. When I add a person, I work my way down until it says "Add or Cancel" at the bottom. So far, so good.

When I now want to edit this person, I search in vain for a save option. In the bottom left corner, where it previously said "Add" or "Cancel," there's nothing this time.

Then you look up there and there is only a trash can and a cross, neither of which are good symbols for saving.

If I then click on the cross because I haven't found any other option, it says stop editing, but that doesn't guarantee 100% whether it will be saved or not.

Spoiler alert: yes, it's saved. Of course, you'll know afterward. But I wanted to ask, especially for newbies, whether you could simply add Cancel or Save buttons to the bottom right where Add or Cancel used to be, or simply add a checkmark to the right of the cross, just to ensure that it's 100% saved. That would be my idea and suggestion. Thanks in advance.
