Documentation links in the UI
Put a Icon / Link to a User Manual in the top bar (example below). Recommend it link to a "User Guide", targeted for laymen end-users rather than Developers or Administrators, which will have zero problems learning the app. This option is for collaborators who may only use it part time and need to have ready access to a Manual with examples and such. We give them everything they need from the home page to have success learning the app.
Example WIP User guide HERE.
- Check out the "Page Descriptions > Reports" page for example of content. (Click on "Report Icons" and use arrow keys to scroll.

Contributions to the documentation are always welcome at https://github.com/gramps-project/gramps-web-docs.
A link to the docs somewhere in the UI would be useful (and I'll keep the issue open for that purpose), but definitely not in the app bar itself. I like Nextclouds solution of making the app bar user button a dropdown that links to settings, help, etc.
Implemented in #826!
We can still think about context-specific help links in the future in addition.
