Forge 1.7.10 Instances on GDLauncher are unplayable.
- [YES] I searched the issue tracker for other issues covering my case
- [YES] This is a Launcher issue.
Describe the bug In any instance of Forge 1.7.10 on GDLauncher (1.1.27, devbuilds leading up to 1.1.28, and 1.1.28 [Previous versions not tested]), graphical errors are present on Minecraft chunks and if you hold an item in your hand (from your hotbar) the screen will turn into a color. The game doesn't crash, and if you scroll through your hotbar to an empty slot, the full screen will stop being a color.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- On GDLauncher, create or run a Minecraft 1.7.10 Forge instance.' [NOTE: Graphical errors occurred on instances with only no mods installed on forge and on instances with mods installed on forge].
- Create a new world or open an old world. [ERROR: Once loaded in, graphical errors should be visible on chunks nearby.]
- Try opening your inventory. [NOTE: As you go down the list of most recent 1.7.10 Forge versions, the inventory bug is lessened. It doesn't completely vanish though, regardless of how far you go back.]
- Hold an item in your hand. Screen bugs out.

- OS: [Windows 11]
- GDLauncher Version: [v1.1.27, 1.1.28 Devbuilds, 1.1.28]
- Java Version: [8]
- Minecraft Version: [1.7.10]
- Mod Loader: [Forge]
Additional context I can't exactly recall if the graphical error occurred on v1.1.27 release because I was on a devbuild (released after 1.1.27) for a long time. I switched to 1.1.28 to see if it would fix the problem, but it didn't. The issue seemed to have come out of nowhere. Also, the logs say that my OS is Windows 10, but it's actually Windows 11.

~~I wonder how you even installed Forge <1.8, I thought that isn't possible due to some bugs atm.~~

I can still load instances below <1.8, how is this related?

Are you unable to download it on your end? Try running 1.1.28.
its not cause of the launcher its cause after OCT 2021 Intel updated there drivers and also REMOVED A OPENGL TEXTURE COMMPRESSION FEATURE AND IT BROKE OLD VERSIONS OF MINECRAFT. i just want intel to fix it, its my favorite version
https://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/how-to-fix-1-7-10-graphic-bug/ suggests using Neodymium. The mod says it "reimplements chunk rendering in Minecraft 1.7.10 using modern OpenGL. This should improve performance on most hardware."
thank you so much for sending me this i will finally be able to play again.
