I was wondering the same. It would be great to switch to another license as the Apache License is clearly targeting source code.

How would I write a mandatory NOTICE file for my project if the provided LICENSE file doesn't even have a copyright notice? One could argue that the license is not even valid because it is not applied correctly.

Excerpt from LICENSE:

   APPENDIX: How to apply the Apache License to your work.
