Why should this be included in the repository?

This is a requirement for building Union, which is going to be required for KDE in the somewhat near future. It'ss currently required to build Union for KDE development

KDE developers now, KDE Plasma users later

Debian has a .deb available, and there's a .deb available for Ubuntu at the repo AUR package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rapidyaml
