Why should this be included in the repository?

I believe this should be included to allow people using the Gnome desktop to have the option of a screensaver. Each other environment has a screensaver it comes with, and gnome is the exception it seems. Xscreensaver works well with gnome, and is a reliable piece of software.

Everyone who wants a screensaver and uses gnome
