Summary

The Mullvad app allows the user to designate certain apps to bypass the VPN if they are not working properly. e.g Evolution does not work for one of my email accounts as they block some VPN servers. Ticketmaster app on Android phone is another example.

Steps to reproduce

Open Mullvad app

Select split tunneling menu item Select an app Mullvad returns "Unable to launch selection...." dialogue

Expected result

App should launch

Actual result

App does not launch, returns message "Unable to launch selection...." dialogue

A couple of months ago I managed to piece together a solution:

mkdir -p /sys/fs/cgroup/net_cls/mullvad-exclusions/ touch /sys/fs/cgroup/net_cls/mullvad-exclusions/cgroup.procs chmod 777 /sys/fs/cgroup/net_cls/mullvad-exclusions/cgroup.procs

I never figured out how to make the last command permanent and just gave up. App from Mullvad works fine in debian but I understand it this problem is pretty common. Thanks
