We don’t need another vscode, we hope to use the historical version
Please give me the way to get 0.1x
agree
Can't agree more. The old version natively supports Vim key-binding, and code highlight support. It's not powerful but enough. The new 0.2.x version is just another VSCode with less completed UI than VSCode, I don't want to install duplicated editor.

You can install the vscodevim extension without problems, I think a bare bone editor without extensions support isn't enough for the majority of developers, thus the popularity of Vscode, neovim etc and their ecosystem, otherwise most would be using vi without any extension, which is factually not the case.
Or maybe you just want to use it as a "ChatGPT" (or whatever they're using) client and not as a primary editor and thus call it a duplicate ? But I doubt it's the purpose of the project.
I think vscode may release an extension based on GPT4 and provide basic function for free. If so, what wiil happen to this project and this startup company?

perhaps it will forget by everyone who using it now, unless it finds other way to make itself different to vscode with GPT

What you're talking about is called GitHub Copilot X (GitHub and Vscode are both owned by Microsoft) and won't be free.
Now I think you're right. This is not another VSCode, it's target is different from VSCode's. Now I use it in my new linux env, feeling it's really more powerful and more easy-to-use than 1.x.
Great work, thx for you all :)
Cursor will frequently update its VSCode version to make the experience as close as possible to VSCode. I will close this issue for now due to inactivity.
