Waveshare now has a 13.3inch Mini-Computer Powered by Raspberry Pi CM4 for sale for $199:

It has a 1080p 13.3" touchscreen, and includes built in speakers, VESA mount, wall hanging holes, and a slot for a desk stand.
I'm somewhat taken aback by how little information from owners of this device are out there (no reviews on Amazon or youtube videos beyond waveshare's ). Waveshare made a tablet based on an rpi 3a+ initially, and despite little information on that one they still went down the path of updating it to support a CM4.
I think this scratches some interesting niches but I'm not sure if others feel the same
- a tablet that deliberately does not have an embedded battery
- great for an always-on (or whenever-on) display for something like home assistant (you could even just run home assistant on this thing), a display for security camera systems, or other dashboard systems.
- the ability to embed a CM4 gives it a lot more on-device processing power than just being a kiosk display
There's also a magic mirror variant.
