Include more “calls to action” / invite more tinkering

As pointed out by @sonosoos, it would be a good idea to invite people to play with the tutorial code more; this should help them make that tutorial feel more like theirs, and also learn better how the various pieces interact.

To do:

  • [ ] Figure out what relatively-accessible modifications can be suggested
  • [ ] Implement them
