This should be straightforward – just whitelist the control characters used to create the terminal links. Would accept a PR.

I doubt it. Have a look into the code base. Would be an easy PR.

This issue is dependent on https://github.com/sindresorhus/string-width/issues/2 We can switch packages if there is a better alternative.
