instead of the notification popping up in chat, can it be in osd instead? where messages of someone leaving pops up. additionally, these messages can be time throttled, so it doesn't flood the screen.

Console notifications would be better for this, if you try and force a disconnect message like the one in earlier versions which triggered when allowing players to no-clip, the game will crash.
