[BUG] Input field not focused on Firefox @ PopOS! Cosmic Linux

Open dodalovic opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Hi, I like this extension a lot, first and foremost!

One thing I noticed, is that very often when I toggle the extension, it doesn't focus the input field, thus forcing me to do it manually, and defocusing me from work.

I'm not sure how can I help troubleshoot.

Thank You

Thanks for the report. This is the drop-down menu that appears when you click the icon on the toolbar or use the shortcut? I haven't tested Firefox on Windows recently, and haven't at all on a Linux distro. Could be that something else is interfering with the focus. Might be possible to work around it by putting a delay on trying to focus the field.

No clue, really. It happens on a random basis I think.

@fwextensions I have this same issue when using the keyboard shortcut and it happens 50% of the time... which is a pain because I want to use QuicKey in a macro to activate the needed tabs when I boot up.

When the field is randomly unfocused like this, pressing Tab works to focus it. But I cannot reliably include that in Macro because the when the field is in focus, pressing Tab unfocuses it.

Is it possible to provide a shortcut (with the pop-up window open) that unconditionally focuses the input field? Or I'm not sure of any other approach to this.
