This happens when you try to enable plugins on a version where plugins have already been enabled. Did you drag your Xcode twice? I'll replace that assertion with an alert.

@wdcew I think you're talking about a different crash. The crash mentioned above is of the MakeXcodeGr8Again App. The original Xcode crashing is extremely odd and you should probably file...
I'm not sure if that's really an issue considering the app uses Swift 3 and will probably be built using Xcode 8.
I don't know if that's the issue for you but it took me a long time to find out that the banner won't show up if the app is already...
