For importing WebP images or sequences of images directly into Premiere. I'm not sure how complicated this kind of thing would be. I could not find any examples of Premiere plugins which are single-frame importers and not video importers.

You're hoping to use WebP as part of a video workflow? Please explain. It would be possible to do this.

I'm not too interested in making an animated WebP plug-in because Premiere and After Effects don't expose control over things like looping and delay between frames. Photoshop has those controls for animated GIFs, but there doesn't appear to be a way for me to access them from a plug-in.

Well, not really interested in the animated WebP for our workflow. More related to occasionally needing to import a still frame into Premiere, like an overlay, same as you can import a PNG image and use it as footage. I don't understand why they didn't just make premiere accept .8bi format plugins as After Effects does. This is not that crucial an issue, one can always convert a WebP to a PNG in Photoshop if need be, so if it's a considerable amount of work I'll be happy to pull this request back. Thanks for making these awesome plugins.

I recognize this issue is 6 years old, however I'm curious if there was ever any solution for WebP images in Premiere? Same use case as @RotemShi mentioned
