Hi there. Thank you very much for providing this configuration, it was a great way to get me started!

It seems that the URL for the MELPA packages changed, http://melpa.milkbox.net/packages/ is no longer working. The official MELPA guide suggests using https://melpa.org/packages/ instead.

I just saw that there is already the PR #49 created for this issue.
