CDM Excel Files Missing Features

Background

Well Fargo is evaluating the CDM and they want to use the Excel CDM file for modelling, mapping and input into their own tools. They have noted that the Excel representation of the CDM is missing Extends and Choice.

Are there other CDM features that are not included?

What is the effort to fix this?

Proposal

Enhance the Excel version to include extends and choice types as separate columns for each data type.

Compatibility

This could be added to version 6 and 7 without impact on the model.

Release

CDM 6.x.x and 7.x.x

It’s a proposal but I do not own the code so as I understand it, isda/regnosys would have to implement it.
