MacOS Support

Open ELanning opened this issue 2 years ago • 7 comments

Greetings, I am requesting the LogosLinuxInstaller be updated to support installs on MacOS, as well as the docs updated.

I am also putting a monetary bonus on this of $200 for a working solution or a detailed analysis on why it's not possible on MacOS.

Thanks for the great work.

FWIW, I am already aware Logos already offers a MacOS version of Logos 10; I am looking to compare it to a WINE emulated version.

Are you thinking about having it supported on the new ARM CPUs or older CPUs?

I am using an older intel CPU, but it would theoretically have to support both.

Okay. For newer CPUs we would probably need general ARM support as well, which I began documenting below but haven't had time to explore.

The solutions in that wiki page are Linux-based, so we would need to see if there was some kind of similar tool for the newer ARM CPUs.

For the older CPUs we probably have a better place to start.

If anyone does take this up, please do write up a wiki page for it.

Also happy to just have the older CPU support for now, monetary bonus still available for that. Can even up it if need be.

I think the main thing will be finding someone with the hardware.

I would have tried but I don't have a mac anymore.
