[Bug]: inline citations don't work on embedded pages

What happened, and what did you expect to happen?

When embedding content that has an inline citation, hovering over the citation doesn't present any information.

For example, on this page, hovering over the first citation (Caporaso 2011) works correctly, but when this page is embedded here hovering over that citation doesn't work.

What version of Jupyter Book are you running?
