Abstract

The documentation currently mentions:

Community calls are held on Wednesdays at 3PM CET/CEST.

This can be confusing for contributors outside Central Europe who must manually convert the time to their local timezone.

Proposal: Automatically detect the user’s local timezone and show the equivalent local time next to the CET/CEST time. Optionally, provide a manual override for edge cases.

Example:

Community calls are held on Wednesdays at 3PM CET/CEST — Your local time: Wednesday, 6:30PM Asia/Kolkata

This change will improve accessibility for contributors worldwide and remove the need for manual time conversion.

I haven’t started coding yet — opening this issue first to confirm maintainers are okay with this enhancement. Once approved, I will implement it as a small JS addition to the docs.
