Infinite loop on LEAVE/ENTER when pasting more than 9778 characters

Describe the bug

The UI shows a loopin "Connect" message when pasting about 10000 characters.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to https://fr.lipsum.com/ and generate a Lorem ipsum with 10000 characters
2. Select the generated text and copy
3. Go to https://calut.fr/pad/p/bug_paste (my instance)
4. Paste the text
5. See result : message "Connecté" appears repeatedly

Expected behavior I expected the text to be simply pasted

• Etherpad version: 1.8.17~ynh1
• OS: Yunohost (Debian 10)
• Node.js version (node --version): Don't know
• npm version (npm --version): Don't know
• Is the server free of plugins: yes

• OS: Fedora 35
• Browser: Firefox
• Version 100

Additional context

• The issue is simply solved by importing a text file instead of pasting directly.
• Thanks to dichotomy, I found that pasting 9778 characters is ok, the issue arise at 9779 (according to etherpad text statistics)

We are experiencing the same problem with far less characters about 500 is enough. But it did work with earlier versions.
