Is there any way to use unbox on Linux based OS?
As the title already said. It would be awesome to have a Linux client. As the sources seams to be in js I guess it would be principally possible but I have no idea where to start right now. I wouldn't even need a GUI but just like to understand what is essential to run and grab the metadata information over LAN from my Denon mixer. Thanks a lot. OsZ
I don't have a linux client yet, but I'll be sure to build one for the next release. I'm still working to get the Denon mode working on the latest release which has been tricky since I don't have Denon gear. Once this is working I can send over a version for you.
In the meantime you can check out these libraries, I've used modified versions of both for unbox: https://github.com/MarByteBeep/StageLinq and https://github.com/icedream/go-stagelinq
Awesome, good to know! I have got denon gear and using Linux based OS for long time. So if you need any testing done or whatever then I am more than interested to be of help...
In the meantime I did read about to semi-compile .js based code sites into apps but didn't succeed so far. First time I ever saw this tbh.
I am really interested in the Linux build to. Would like to try to run this on a raspberry pi so I can integrate it in some streaming stuff that runs on it.
Like to use it with a twitch chat command that triggers my pi to use text to speech to announce the track and artist when people ask.
