Please hold off on merge since tests failed. Rerunning tests now.

Hello! My team has taken over the responsibility for the tagreader application, and we are doing some cleaning in the old PR's and Issues. I see that this PR is outdated, and that the code it is trying to fix has been refactored. Because of this I am unable to merge it as it is currently. As this PR is almost 3 years old I am unsure if this is still an issue, so I am closing the PR. If this issue is still persisting, you can re-open the PR with the updated code and we will merge it in.
